Location
The Italian Corner (formerly Francesca's Corner, hence the name on the photograph) is located in
the north-eastern corner of the basketball court beside Eve's Kiosk. It's very easy to find and
they are open from 18.30h until around midnight every day. The owner specialises in (believe it
or not!) Italian dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. They sometimes have a three-piece band playing and
the
bar (9 KB JPEG) has a comfortable and
intimate atmosphere.
Food
Dino enjoyed food and made sure that his guests enjoyed it as well! He cooked most dishes
himself, as well as ran the bar so he used to get very busy. This is our favourite place for a special
meal because Dino's quality is so high. In my (inexpert) opinion this is the best Italian food in Cebu
province and probably the best place to eat in Moalboal. Try it and see. Dino has built an authentic
wood-fired Italian pizza oven and he produces excellent pizzas. One word though, Dino ran everything
himself, so go early if you want to eat reasonably quickly. Be prepared to wait a long time (up to two
hours on busy days). It is worth the wait but be prepared.
Rooms
There are five
rooms
(9 KB JPEG) at the Italian Corner Corner, all twin share with private bathroom and
shower and a small, shady residents garden. Some of the rooms are brand-new, however they can be noisy due
to
Paradise Bar which is opposite.

Other Information
We were very sad to learn that Dino died suddenly of a brain tumour in March 2002. Dino
was a good friend to us and helped when we had problems with our cats - he was very fond of animals
and doted on his two Boxers. We also sampled many a personaly-imported speciality "after hours"! As far
as we know, The Italian Corner is still open and serving good Italian food.
