Pacita's Nipa Huts, Moalboal |
|
|
Pacita's is one of the longest established places to stay in the area
and specialises, as you might expect, in native-style cottages made of coconut and
bamboo.
Location
Pacita's is situated at the south end of Panagsama Beach. Just head south
(with the sea on your right) from the basketball court and you will walk right into
it after about 300 metres.
Rooms
There are 25 cottages, most with private shower and bathroom, though
the shower will be just a pipe with a tap on it! All cottages have their own
veranda. Pacita's also have four more solid rooms build of brick. The whole
area is surrounded with bougainvillaea of different shades which give a riot
of colour all around.
Restaurant
The restaurant overlooks the sea, is always open to the breeze and does a good range of travellers standby's. Portions are generous and prices are relatively low.
Prices
Cottages with shared bathroom are P200, with private bathrooms P250.
The sea front cottages are P300. The brick-built rooms are P600 per night. Prices
will vary with how busy they are and the time of year. All rooms can comfortably
accommodate 3 people.
Booking
Since Pacita's have quite a few rooms, there is usually no need to book but like most of the cheaper places here, they will not honour bookings unless reserved with a cash deposit - and often not even then!
